It was made in Boston Massachusetts by Hale circa 1920. Material is Sterling, but not marked as such. Brooch is signed with the F. Hale cartouche on the back.
Centered on the pin is a perfect Amethyst cabochon measuring approximately 15mm x 10 mm. Surrounding handcrafted silver is a vine design, all within an elongated silver oval. Hale did not duplicate his designs, so this pin is one of a kind.
