The chest on stand is made in solid oak and I would guess dates to around 1910. The chest of drawers and the top is inlaid with a dentil design in boxwood and ebony. This sort of design is often seen on Arts and Crafts furniture of the period and there is an Arts and Crafts feel to the chest. The chest stands on'straight' cabriole legs of George II design and the apron of the stand is shaped. The cupboard door retains its original lock and key. The cupboard is shelved in solid oak. This is a very attractive cabinet. I suspect there was a low gallery around the top at one time. There are minor marks to the top - see photo.
This is a bright pretty and airy piece of furniture. It will look good in a principal room or hallway furnished in antiques, oak, Arts and Crafts or even in a more contemporary setting.
It could also be used as a drinks cabinet. The chest on stand is 43.5 inches high and 32.5 inches wide and 16 inches deep. You are welcome to collect any piece of furniture yourself or use any courier you wish. It is easy to get a quote.
