This is a very original thick leather with brass studding lounge chair. It is very heavy, having what i believe to be an oak frame. This chair dates back to the early 1920's and has a very heavy Arts & Crafts influence to it. Being 100 years old and a well used item it shows signs of wear, with the ends of the leather on the arms being worn away and all the usual places being well worn.
However, having said that it is full of character and patina. The back has a large rip. The seat has a thick cushion, not sure if that is original, below this it does require a virtually complete overhaul and upholster. But it is still usable and in my opinion very comfortable.
The brass studding runs along the arms and rear with very decorative stud work to the front, in the shape of flowers i believe. This would be a great decorators piece or a project which with limited effort would make this chair look fabulous.
