Arts and Crafts Shade PAIR W. Benson Vaseline Opalescent Uranium Lamp Glass. A great arts and crafts period lamp shade pair, made of light green vaseline/uranium glass, with opalescent stripe details.
They light up when exposed to uv-light/black light. The shades have a stunning shape with a scalloped rim and were probably made by James Powell (Whitefriars), who created shades for W. Benson arts and crafts lamps. This shade was made around 1910.Total height: about 4 ¾ inch / 12 cm. Width bottom opening: about 4 inch / 10 cm. Width opening fitter rim: about 1 1/8 inch / 2.8 cm. Very minimal wear around the fitter rim, some surface scratches, and some small manufacturing imperfections, see the photos.
