C1930 BERNARD INSTONE signed silver and moonstones Arts & Crafts necklace-lovely

  
This is a sensational signed Bernard Instone silver and moonstones necklace dated from c1930. It is a rare Ascot Suite necklace with moonstones-in my opinion, this is the best stone Instone paired with this necklace. I have seen it with amethyst before but the moonstones are so much more luminous and complimentary to the feminine and ethereal design. It consists of three leaf panels-the central one being the largest at approx. 3cm in height by 2.5cm wide. It has a gorgeous domed moonstone cabochon, set with 6 claws, as the central point and then there are 7 other moonstone cabochons that graduate in size. Set within the panel, punctuating the leaves. The leaves are all set with marcasites so that piece illuminates and shimmers with light. The panels set at either side of the central one, contain 5 moonstones each, again of graduating sizes. Again there are marcasite covered leaves-simply beautiful! The back of the necklace is beautifully neat and it is signed on a small plaque on the reverse of the central panel SILVER B. The chain is a fabulous Arts and Crafts fetter chain, original to the piece.

It is in super condition... Just some patina on the silver which you may or may not wish to polish. These necklaces are rare and becoming increasingly sought-after.
