This is a fantastic quality Cotswold School oak lidded box. It is made to a very high standard from quarter sewn oak with exposed construction. It is very understated but incredibly detailed. Even the top has a subtle stepped domed pyramid form. It probably dates to the 1930s or 1940s.
It is unsigned and in good condition. There is one tiny dovetail to the a back corner which is cracked, as seen in the images. It measures 12cm x 11cm x 8cm.
