Lovely cabinet of unusually small size and rare configuration. Measures just 111cm high by 104cm wide by 47.5cm deep. It comprises three cupboards above two drawers, with original and stylish brass-work typical of the period. The left and right hand cupboards have their original chamfered shelf bearers together with what appear to be the original removable shelves. The shelves run half the depth of each cupboard. The centre cupboard shelf again has the original bearers but the shelf appears to be a replacement. This shelf runs the full depth of the cupboard. The drawers run full width and depth and the original locks are present (there are no keys).
All the brass-work is original and in excellent condition. The cabinet sits on what appear to be the original ceramic casters. The cabinet is in very good and clean condition with the usual signs of age and wear accumulated over more than 120 years. There is a stable panel split in the left-hand side of the base - see photos 5 and 6.The centre catch does not work perfectly, but all three doors catch and the doors close and stay closed. There is a very small amount of old worm to two small areas of the drawer carcasses. This can be seen in photos 8 and 9. There is nothing here that will disappoint or embarrass, and you may reject the item if you are unhappy in any way. If you have any questions or require further photographs, please do not hesitate to ask. The item is for collection only.
