The design is as fresh today as it was in the early 1900s when it was made. The design is pure liquid in the lines and colours! I love the use of smooth cabochons of turquoise with the warmth of the gold.... You also get the variety of colours within the mix of turquoise stones, some being on the more light blue turquoise scale of colour and some being on the sea green scale of colour. The stones are beautifully and precisely bezel-set in an open-backed setting.
The catch mechanism is cleverly set under a mounted stone, which is completely encased. There is also a safety chain, which because of its generous length, allows you to fasten the bracelet easily yourself. The back of the first gold panel is clearly stamped "9 ct" and "MBO"- the maker's mark for Murrle, Bennett & Co.
(difficult to capture on the photos though). 19cm in length and as I said, is very easy to put on and take off yourself. It really is in super condition!
