Set of four CC41 C. 1940's Arts and crafts and Ambrose Heal style Oak dining chairs. Beautiful solid dining chairs, very reminiscent of the Arts and crafts movement in style with the square arrangement to the slatted backs and the shaping to the slats which has a hand finished feel. CC41 or Utility furniture was set up during world war 2 during rationing to provide furniture for both newlyweds and those who had been bombed, designers involved included the likes of Gordon Russell and Harris Lebus. In excellent solid condition the seat coverings although free from holes or rips do need deep cleaning or replacing which is easy to do being drop in seats. Measurements: height 84 cm width 44 cm depth 40 cm seat height 46 cm.
