From Arc Reclamation Ltd, New Buildings Farm, Winchester Road, Stroud, Petersfield, Hants, GU32 3PB. A set of three oak Arts and Crafts internal doors, dating to approximately 1914. The set comprises of two doors that can be used as a pair but do not have rebated edge (slight size differences) and a thinner door.
All three doors have the same, attractive, six panel design in the Arts and Crafts style. The doors have a lovely, rich, colour and attractive grain. The doors have a varnished finish but as the doors are reclaimed there are some signs of use and wear and purchaser may wish to strip and re-finish the doors with a wax or varnish. The doors are very solid, heavy and useable but there are some slight areas of damage, stains, marks and scratches to the wood. There is an old patch repair to the single door that has been made using pine rather than oak and the grain is running the other way to the oak. There are holes where original door hardwear has been removed. Some slight knocks and cracks are present.
One door has a slight knock to its bottom corner. Hinges will need to be replaced. The doors are a lovely example of design from the Arts and Crafts era and will look very stylish in a period home or office. Width 86cm and 88.5cm.
