Here is a very nice Ozark Pottery matte green Art Nouveau vine and leaf decorated vase, and covered in a bluish green and gunmetal gray glaze. The pottery was located in St Louis Missouri around 1907 and is quite rare. It measures about 5 inches tall and 4 3/4 inches wide at the widest.
It is in great condition with only a tiny flake and a couple of glaze misses at the foot, some crazing, and. No chips, cracks, repairs, or firing flaws. Marked ZARK and HH, presumably the decorator.
Most Arts & Crafts era matte green pottery was inspired by the success of the Grueby Pottery, which also influenced the Roseville, Wheatley, Hampshire, and Teco potteries.
