This outstanding parlour ashtray from the Arts and Crafts era is made of solid brass with hand-worked cut-out decor. The decor features an array of styles typical of the Arts and Crafts period, which lasted for a short time between the Art Nouveau and Art Deco eras. Lovely detailing from top to bottom, and has what appears to be a stylized bat wing design on the ashtray? Hand-machined spun brass piece which break down to three pieces. Perfect besides a chair, inwards carving rim on deep ashtray bowl helps keep the mess in and great for cigars too. Tall / 6.75 across base.
