Antique Carved Oak Captains Chair / Office Desk Chair With Green Man Carving

  

A fabulous antique carved oak captains chair / office desk chair, dating from the late 19th century. The chair is ornately carved with a green man at the top of the backrest, entwined mythical serpents forming the back splats, carved decoration to the seat and arms with lion paw legs / feet. The chair has a swivel mechanism making it an ideal desk chair. It measures 75cm high and the seat is 46cm high x 50cm in diameter.

It has an aged related split to the seat (see all photos) otherwise it's all in genuine antique condition. This wonderful chair would look stunning in any period interior, perfect as a desk chair.
