This beautifully hand produced copper lidded jug is a superb example of the return to the hand made aesthetic that the arts and crafts period stood for. It is very well proportioned, its tapering cylindrical body having a keyed seam with raised ivy leaf decoration. The lid is also of leaf form. The turned mahogany handle is held in place by two riveted brass strap brackets. This particular jug is all hand produced and has acquired a wonderful deep bronze colour and great surface patina over time.

It is an early example and feel it captures all that the arts and crafts movement stood for. Length(of handle)= 18cm. Diameter (of bottom)= 14cm. Diameter (of top)= 9.5cm.
