This is a small arts and craft coal scuttle, its small yes but it is for a servants bedroom, most of us have seen the small fireplace some are really tiny this is what you would have had for coal and you would have to be very carefull with it the butler would see to that and if you are working from six in the morning till midnight would you have time to sit at your fireplace, any questions please ask, this is another item from a lady in east Scotland, made of copper and brass with iron handles, the unusal thing are the monkey masks quite rare, it is all handmade see pics.
