Arts and Crafts'Hobbit''Harry Potter style light. Genuine For Restoration

  
Wonderful Arts and Crafts style external light fitting/ lamp. Great for anyone into Hobbits or wizardry. 13" from top of hanging ring to base and 4.5" diameter of metal frame around glass. Not sure if this is genuine or a repro.

It is very similar to those around Cardiff Castle. The part to keep rain out looks galvanised. The fancy wrought iron decorative bits that are rusted but not ruined and can be restored to former glory.

Plain frosted glass tube shade is simply held in place by three screw in bolts. Whole unit would originally have just hung from a hook. Altogether a very simple, elegant yet functional design. Should be copied and reproduced today.. They'd sell like hot cakes.

Dated wiring and bayonet bulb fitting need replacing. Not much work involved in restoring it. When it's done it will be fab and pretty unique.
