S Benson, the renowned Arts and Crafts designer, and retailed by Liberty of London. It originates from the 1890s and is hand-hammered. It features a single brass candle holder and an embossed and etched brass backplate with the original wall mount. This is designed to be used indoors but it could also be used in a garden room or conservatory. It has a foundry serial number on the rear.
The sconce measures 22cm (8.6") tall and 14cm (5.5") wide. It is 11cm (4.3) deep. It is in good antique condition with ageing to the brass and one or two surface scratches. All items are carefully packed and sent tracked and fully insured.
