Arts and Crafts WAS Benson brass lamp with Vaseline glass shade. Electrified

  

Benson converted table oil lamp to electricity. Really useful for lighting up a smaller space or on a sideboard / dresser. Gives a good pleasing light. It has an original Vaseline oil shade which sits neatly inside a brass 3 screw gallery.

The shade is very slightly irregular around the rim due to hand blowing but nothing detrimental. In good working order with new 3 core silk cable, approx 3 yards, and grommitt. No damage to the metalware. The lamp has aquired a good soft patina but could be polished bright.

Height of lamp 19cm / 7 and half inches. Fitter on shade 3 7/8 cm /. Top 14cm / 5 and half inches across. Marked under with a B and the W. S 3 hammers mark in a shield.
