C1890, presented in an Arts & Crafts Hammered Copper Frame with a signed Florence Hannam watercolour Portrait of an infant. With stunning patina, decorated with whiplash lines, flowers and foliage. A superb period piece beautifully unique and a real conversation starter. Both Frame and portrait are in Excellent antique condition. This superb original late 19th or very early 20th Century watercolour of a baby by Florence Hannam.

It is signed Florence Hannam Pinx's. The sitter is unidentified but the quality of the painting is exceptional. Walker Art Gallery, Liverpool - 9 Times. Royal Academy - 5 Times. Royal Society of British Artists - 8 Times.

Royal Institute of Oil Painters - Once. Society of Women Artists - Twice. Prices that works by this artist achieve can be seen here. The painting is in excellent condition with no fading or foxing whatsoever. Framed size 43cm x 38cm (17" x 15"). Picture only 26.5cm x 21.5cm. (10.25" x 8.5"). Thickness 2.5cm (0.5). I have given it a quick wipe over, but as with all my items I don't over clean or polish, as some customers, especially prop buyers, prefer an original patina.

So I leave the decision to polish to you. Due to age there may be the odd age related wear/mark.
