A treat of a piece, which is an accepted Liberty & Co design from c1905. Liberty & Co had the best designers creating pieces for them and this rare jewel is just sumptuous. I have seen one or two pendants in this design over the years but never with this moonstone and peacock colours enamels.
What a fabulous combination on this wonderful Arts and Crafts pendant! It reminds me of Jessie Marion King's enamelling. Quite a sizeable pendant actually for Liberty & Co and it is suspended from the typical Liberty bale by its two original silver chains. The round, domed moonstone cabochon is open-backed and set in a beautiful mille grain setting. There are five large "petals" connected to the central moonstone. Each is sectioned with silver lines and dots-exceptional detailing. The enamels are in greens, blues ranging to the dusky pink too. They are so brilliant, indicating that this jewel has been carefully wrapped up and kept safe over the years. The enamel is in wonderful condition too which is a lovely treat. The pendant measures approx 6cm in height, including the bale and approx 3cm in width.
In lovely condition and ready to pop on one of your favourite chains. Please note the box is not included and is purely for display purposes. I shall, of course, send it to you in a new gift box. It will be posted with International Courier for both speed and security.
