James Dixon Arts and Crafts Silver Candlesticks With James Powell Vaseline Shades. Stamped James Dixon with Trumpet Logo. A matching pair of iconic James Dixon and Sons Arts and Crafts electro plated silver candlesticks in the classic riveted and strapwork design in superb original condition. The candlesticks stand on square bases which curve into tapered columns joining a wide circular drip pan terminating with candle cup holders. The bases of the candlesticks are embellished with simulated iron strap work and rivets. The bases are weighted for increased stability. Date: The design is attributable to the leading Dutch Amsterdam design school of the period from c. 1902 and copied by the Sheffield firm of James Dixon. Made in the early 20th C in Sheffield by James Dixon & Sons with hallmarks to underside of drip pan.

Two Vaseline/Uranium James Powell Style Shades, I have not seen another pair with shades like these. Size: 22 cm high & 10cm depth x 10cm width.
