For sale is this generously proportioned, fully restored antique Victorian cast iron fire surround, reclaimed from a country property in Yorkshire. It is a lovely architectural piece from just before the turn of the century and is packed with character. It has aged beautifully with lots of texture in the patina. It has been carefully and professionally stripped, then given a protective heatproof coating and polished to bring out its original period character.

During restoration we retained the original mantle shelf and added a set of freestanding (removable) bars. The final look is beautiful and will instantly add character to your home.

It has discreet mounting lugs beneath the shelf for simple and safe installation. A couple of strong screws will secure it to the wall. 91cm wide at body, widening to 101cm at lugs. There is a rear projection around the opening on this fire surround of around 1.5cm, meaning it will need a chimney breast opening of at least 51cm wide x 75cm high to fit flush against the chimney breast wall.

If you are local to us, your item can be collected in person from our home workshop in Wilmslow, Cheshire (SK9 postcode). We will assist you where possible in loading.
