Morris & Company Liberty antique Arts Crafts painted fabric walnut firescreen. South East Antiques are pleased to offer this fine antique fire guard. Dating from circa 1880, this walnut and painted fabric screen is in the "Apple tree" pattern and attributed to Morris and Company, for Liberty.

It has a shaped handle and central well painted, glazed screen raised on outswept end supports. The screen is in sturdy vintage condition, free from woodworm, with some fading to the design. The spark guard measures 68 cm (26 3/4 in) wide by 97 cm (38 1/4 in) tall and 22 cm (8 1/2 in) deep. _gsrx_vers_1265 GS 8.3.2 (1265).
