Pair Art Nouveau Arts & Crafts Glasgow School heart tulip mahogany armchairs. South East Antiques are pleased to offer this fine pair of antique chairs.

Dating from circa 1900, these stylish solid mahogany Glasgow School armchairs are attributed to Joseph Johnstone of Lochwinnoch. Each has a decorative back with tulip and heart motifs over pad seat and pierced front arms raised on reverse tapered square supports. The chairs are in sturdy vintage condition, free from woodworm, with a minor lss to the side of one foot. Each chair measures 68 cm (26 3/4 in) wide by 103 cm (40 1/2 in) tall and 52 cm (20 1/2 in) deep, the seat height is 42 cm. Please send us your postcode for a quote to other locations.
