And eye-catching pair of Liberty Style Arts and Crafts arm/corner/accent chairs. Made from mahogany the frame has been ebonised and features, beautiful carvings to the back rest, and the side uprights feature delicate marquetry work with mother of pearl accents, absolutley delightful pieces.
Re upholstered in a beautiful greyish-brown aged supple leather - no-wax finish it is a buffed soft to touch leather, it will scratch and get character over time, finished with brass and black stud work strips to the seat and back rests. The wood work is solid, inside and out, gently, bought back to life, by being simply cleaned and oiled, bringing back its colour and character, with a natural worn patina to the leading edges. Ideal fireside, library or lounge accents chairs, well deserving of a prime location in any.
Offered in solid condition with new leather upholstery as previously described. There is a crack and filler repair to one arm, not particularly noticeable, general wear to the woodwork commensurate with age and use of a well used antique chair. Small chip to the veneer around the marquetry work to one of the uprights. Please study the photos as they do form part of the description.
