A very stylish and pretty Arts and crafts oak chest of drawers circa 1910, began life as a dressing table but has lost its top some time ago, now a very attractive chest of drawers. The solid oak square edged top is above 2 small and 2 long graduated drawers standing on a shaped base- shaped to the front and to the sides.
Drawers are flanked to the sides by a single shelf left and right. The cut out heart is repeated to the rear support also. The hard wear is all original, key holes and locks but no surviving keys. The original handles have shaped solid back plates and drop handles and a good deal of the copper plating still remains on the handles giving them a good patina and colour. This is a quality chest- constructed in solid oak - the drawers are lined with quality mahogany to the sides and beech to the bases. Nice figured grain and knotting to the oak-particularly drawer fronts. Great colour, solid very attractive piece of furniture. Some marks to the top where the original shelf has been- back of the top- photo 4.
