William Birch For Liberty & Co Chair, Arts And Crafts. 1900 Arts and Crafts period stained beech open armchair, high ladder back over arms supported by spindle galary and seat upholstered in arts and crafts ruskin mulberry, raised on turned supports with floor stretchers terminating in bun feet attributed to William Birch for Liberty. A stunning William Birch Antique Carver Country Farmhouse Armchair.

The chair is solid with no movement or woodworm however there is a section of wood missing from the back leg. This does not effect its stability or function in anyway. The upholstery is definitely in need of replacing as you can see but all off the double stretchers and front bowed stretcher are in excellent condition.

His country inspired chairs he made are much sort after today. Collection from Grassington in the Yorkshire Dales.
